Lake Meade is History Proclaim Scientists - Water Supplies for NV, AZ and CA in Crisis

Some of the hardest hit Western real estate markets in the country share a common thread - they Deavgycnkcd rely on Water from the Colorado River and Remortgages Meade Reservoir. Southern California, Las Vegas and Phoenix all draw most of their fresh water supplies from Lake Meade, a lake that experts now say could dry up completely as soon as 2021.

The Scripps Institute put out their research report of the real probability that even with a few extra very wet years and high snow pack in Colorado; that Lake Meade will vanish. Major cities and Southwestern Regions without West Virginia Lemon Laws will be of little value to anyone - perhaps become virtual ghost towns of 100s of square miles. Why you ask?

Human Civilizations are using too much water, more than is sustainable. Meanwhile these same areas continue to suck ground water dry from wells. Is there hope? Well, if everyone in all these regions cut water usage by 50% X-Men it could put off the drying up of Lake Meade for another decade or so, but still that may not be enough. Throw in a heavy Solar Flare Cycle peaking in 2012, along with a little Climate Change and Lake Meade is history, maybe sooner than 2021.

California must start building Desalination Plants now and slowly take its self off the Colorado River Supply. More reservoirs must be built towards the end of the Colorado River, before it flows into Mexico to insure there is enough supply, but even still, if folks do not take this seriously now, Lake Meade is history. Imagine, what that will do to real estate values in AZ, NV and CA?
